Additional Information

Compensation:

  • The base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000, on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base compensation, Trupanion employees are currently eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.

Flywire is looking for a strategic and technically grounded IT Operations Manager to lead our global IT Operations team and help shift it from reactive support to a proactive, engineering-led function.

You will bridge business needs and technical execution, manage team capacity and maintain excellence across our core SaaS stack while identifying opportunities to automate and apply AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

Analyse workflows and system behaviours to identify inefficiencies. Apply Lean principles to streamline and document scalable processes before introducing automation.

Strategy and AI Innovation

Shift the team’s focus from ticket resolution to system evolution. Lead research and implementation of AI / AIOps to automate recurring issues and improve internal self-service.

Operational Ownership of SaaS-as-Code

Partner with CPE to transition our core stack into a Terraform-managed environment. Lead IT Ops in operating these systems through code, moving away from manual console configuration.

Capacity and Project Management

Manage team bandwidth across Tier 3 operations and strategic projects, including M&A and tool consolidation, ensuring daily noise does not stall innovation.

Access Governance and Compliance

Own Access Recertification, User Access Reviews and IT audit requirements, including SOC2. Make compliance more streamlined and automated, rather than manually intensive.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Responsibilities:

  1. Review/approve investigation of operations in manufacturing/laboratory or other related operations and lead the strategic discussion for investigations with respect to operations related matters. Oversee resolution of quality events, monitor that recurrent events are properly escalated and resolved. Ensure root cause is determined, evaluate impact on product quality, disposition, and corrective actions.
  2. Review and approve changes related to facility, computerized systems, laboratory, or products.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering, Biotechnology, Biological/Physical sciences, or equivalent.
  2. 10+ years of experience in a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment in technical operations and/or quality.
  3. Strong working knowledge and interpretation of FDA, EMA, local regulations and guidelines, Good Distribution Practices, ICH guidelines and industry best practice.

This role is hybrid, 3 days per week in our Waltham, MA office, and reports to our Head of Sales.

You Will:

  • Lead & Develop the Team: Hire, onboard, and develop strong BDR and AE talent. Build a culture of accountability, learning, and high performance. Track rep progression and create clear paths from BDR to AE.
  • Coach With Data: Use activity metrics, conversion rates, connect rates, and pipeline data to pinpoint where each rep needs to improve. Run daily and weekly call reviews, role-plays, and live coaching sessions.
  • Own the Full Funnel: Partner with BDRs on prospecting quality and handoffs, and with AEs on demo execution and close rates. Connect top-of-funnel activity to revenue outcomes.
  • Build & Maintain the Playbook: Working with Sales Enablement, create and keep updating the Sales Playbook covering prospecting, cold calling, objection handling, and closing in our vertical.
  • Use AI Tools: Bring AI into your team’s workflow where it helps, whether that’s call intelligence, outreach personalization, pipeline forecasting, or rep coaching.
  • Operate Strategically: Work with Marketing, RevOps, and Sales Leadership to align the team with company priorities. Deliver accurate forecasts and performance data. Own monthly and quarterly pipeline targets.

You Have:

Must Have

  • 3–5+ years in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 2+ years in a sales management role
  • Experience managing BDRs, AEs, or both, or strong experience on one side and readiness to own the full funnel
  • A player-coach mentality. You lead by example and will pick up the phone to show a rep how it’s done
  • A data-driven coaching approach. You know your conversion rates, activity benchmarks, and where each rep is winning or losing
  • Strong communication. You give direct feedback with empathy and explain complex strategies clearly
  • Comfort with ambiguity. You build process where none exists and don’t wait to be told what to do next

What You’ll Do

You will lead that build: set the strategy, design the data platform, drive vendor decisions, and partner with engineering, product, clinical, and operations leadership to deliver it. This is a hybrid strategy-and-architecture role; you will move comfortably from a CTO whiteboard conversation to an EDI 837 parser to a model-evaluation review without losing the thread.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set strategy. Own the multi-year data strategy supporting Operating Model optimization and TailorCare’s extension beyond MSK; frame tradeoffs for the executive team; protect strategic data moats (canonical patient and provider graphs, proprietary outcome labels, and contribute to yield-calibrated decisioning IP)
  • Architect the platform end-to-end. Ingestion, event bus, identity resolution, lakehouse, feature store, ROI Gate decisioning, action orchestration, observability. Define the event taxonomy, schema registry, and data contracts that govern how every source flows in
  • Lead vendor strategy. Evaluate and select across clearinghouses, clinical networks, claims systems, provider intelligence, conversational AI, CDPs, and more, negotiating export rights, schema stability, and contribute to defining BAA scope. Build payer-neutral patterns from day one
  • Set the bar for HIPAA, PHI, and AI governance. Classification at ingestion, field-level access controls, infrastructure-level scrubbing, vendor data governance, training-data lineage, and consent chains.
  • Partner across functions. Translate architecture into staffed delivery with each engineering team; collaborate with clinical leadership on Patient Reported Outcome, extraction accuracy, and outcome labels; work with operations to make the intake and data aggregation meaningful.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years working with healthcare data, including 4+ years in architecture or strategy leadership
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of healthcare data: X12 EDI (270/271/276/277/278/834/835/837), FHIR R4, HL7 v2 (especially ADT), CCD/C-CDA, NCPDP, and the realities of integrating with payers, EHRs, clearinghouses, and HIEs
  • Experience working with AI team developing predictive models and ability to act as the liaison between AI modeling and data platform.
  • Proven track record designing production data platforms at scale, streaming and batch, with managed Kafka or equivalent, lakehouse architectures (Snowflake / Databricks / BigQuery), dbt-style orchestration, modern observability
  • Solid grounding in ML/AI systems: feature stores, point-in-time correctness, model lifecycle, NLP for clinical text. You evaluate model proposals on their merits
  • Direct experience with patient identity resolution (deterministic + probabilistic) and tokenization (Datavant or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of value-based care economics: MLR, attribution, episode costing, risk adjustment, and how reimbursement models shape data requirements
  • Demonstrated executive presence: framing tradeoffs, defending recommendations, adjusting when wrong, staying technically credible
  • HIPAA-fluent. You engineer PHI minimization, BAA structures, and audit requirements as first-class concerns
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% as needed for onsite meetings, team collaboration, and company events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major longitudinal claims dataset (Komodo, Truveta, HealthVerity, Optum, IQVIA) and integration
  • Highly collaborative and experienced with a broad range of business holders
  • Experience integrating clinical data networks
  • Experience with conversational AI in a contact-center context (Cresta, Observe.AI, or built in-house)
  • Multi-payer scale experience
  • Early-stage / scaling startup background, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make calls without perfect information
