Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.
We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that’s transforming today’s workforce.
Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.
In June 2022, we announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes us the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.
But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output.
Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era.
The Opportunity
As our Digital Comms & Content Manager, you’ll own how Multiverse shows up online — across social, search, and the fast-emerging landscape of AI-generated information. That means building a consistent drumbeat of content that tells real learner and employer stories, leading our SEO and AEO strategy, and making sure that when someone searches for Multiverse — or asks an AI about us — they find an accurate picture of the quality of what we do. This isn’t a scheduling role. You’ll build the strategy, own the channels, and bring sharp recommendations to senior leadership with the same confidence you bring to finding the human moment in a learner outcome.
Once you’re here, you will:
Build and maintain a consistent drumbeat of positive, engaging content across Multiverse’s social channels, telling the stories of the learners, employers and apprentices whose careers and businesses are being transformed by a different approach to skill development
Develop and execute a strategy for how Multiverse shows up on the platforms where our learners and employer partners share their experiences, shaping how we respond, how we generate authentic advocacy, and how we ensure our reputation reflects the quality of the work we do
Own light-touch management of Multiverse’s web presence, keeping key pages accurate and compelling, identifying opportunities for elevating confidence, and coordinating updates with the Brand and Tech teams
Lead our approach to SEO and AEO, identifying narrative gaps online and building the content and optimisation strategy that means people find the real Multiverse when they go looking - whether through traditional search or AI
Own our presence in AI-generated responses: develop and execute a structured AIO strategy to ensure Multiverse is accurately represented in key tools and AI Overviews - including the structured content, authoritative sourcing, and entity-building work that shapes how LLMs understand and describe us
Expected time split is 60% social, 15% SEO and 25% web.
Work hand-in-hand with the Comms Team and Brand Director to ensure digital content lands in the right moment, tied to wider campaigns and policy milestones
Bring strategic recommendations to our senior leadership team with the same confidence you bring to creating a piece of content, as comfortable in a C-suite conversation as you are behind a camera with a learner
About you:
You embody the mission. You equip workers to win in the AI era, and that comes through in the content you make
You have hands-on experience managing social channels at an organisational level.
You know the difference between a content calendar and a content strategy, and you’ve built both
You’re a strong, instinctive writer and storyteller, able to find the human moment in a dataset and turn a learner outcome into content that actually moves people
You’re fluent in AI tools and use them to work faster and think bigger, but you apply strong human judgement to everything you publish and understand the difference between AI-assisted and AI-dependent
You’ve worked on SEO meaningfully: you know your way around tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs and can turn search data into editorial priorities
You understand how reputation is built across the full digital picture, not just social, but search results, third-party platforms, and the emerging landscape of AI-generated information
You’re operationally confident on the web side, comfortable working with CMS tools (detailed Webflow experience is a plus) and coordinating page updates without needing to be a developer
You’re proactive and self-directed: you see a gap in how we’re showing up and you close it
You thrive in networked organisations, collaborating with talented colleagues across Marketing, Product, and People teams.
You’re genuinely curious about the future of agentic AI and what it means for how websites are built, maintained, and experienced.

ROLE: Communications & External Affairs ManagerÂ
LOCATION: Remote
POSITION TYPE: Exempt, Full-time
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: 20%
START DATE: ASAP
REPORTS TO: National Director, External Affairs
ROLE OVERVIEW
Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) and its partner organizations, Education Reform Now (ERN) and Education Reform Now Advocacy (ERNA), are seeking a sharp, experienced and politically savvy communications professional to serve as a hybrid press/media and digital campaigns lead across a portfolio of priority states and campaigns. This role is built for a communicator who can move fluidly between pitching a reporter, drafting an op-ed, shaping a social campaign, and briefing a state partner â all in service of winning the policy and political debates that matter most to the families we serve.
Reporting to the National Director of External Affairs, the Communications & External Affairs Manager will help extend the organization's earned media footprint, own regional press strategy across priority states, and manage significant aspects of our digital and social campaigns. The ideal candidate brings strong writing chops, political instincts honed on campaigns, government or non-profit work; and a track record of building durable relationships with reporters, editors, and outside validators. This person will work in close partnership with the National Director to shape messaging, respond to a fast-moving political landscape, and ensure DFER, ERN, and ERNA punch above their weight in the regional press and digital ecosystems where we operate.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States and will be required to submit proof of eligibility. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
Democrats for Education Reform welcomes applications from all, and strongly encourages women, people of color, people with disabilities, immigrants, refugees, and LGBTQ people to apply for this position. We are committed to maximizing the diversity of our organization and recruiting a team that reflects the diversity of the students we serve.
THE ORGANIZATION
Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) is a national political organization that supports elected Democrats and candidates for office who seek to expand policies and practices that work well for Americaâs students and confront those that do not. We prioritize students and families, especially low-income students and students of color who should be better served by our countryâs public education system.Â
DFER partner Education Reform Now Advocacy (ERNA) is an advocacy group that advances education reform measures through empowering community leaders to support our legislative and political advocacy work. ERNA keeps constant pressure on legislators to champion high-quality public education.Â
DFER partner Education Reform Now (ERN) is a nonpartisan think tank that promotes increased resources and innovative reforms in K-12 public education, particularly for students of color and students from low-income families.Â
WHAT WE DOÂ
Support Forward-Thinking Education Leaders â In an approach that is markedly different from our peers and partners in the field, DFER engages directly with candidates and elected officials to empower them to advocate for education policies that focus foremost on serving students. Our partner organization, Education Reform Now, does work that involves policy research, analysis and education that helps policy makers at all levels understand complex education issues and make informed decisions.Â
Inform the Education Debate â Our coalition work reflects the breadth of our policy priorities. We work collaboratively with organizations and our community networks to create an education system that serves and is held accountable to all students and families.
Targeted Interventions and Rapid Response â DFERâs reach, from the most local district relationships to state and federal policymakers, enables us to respond quickly to the changing landscape and policy trends. Activities vary significantly from project to project and may include training, policy analysis, public engagement, electoral and issue advocacy, and policy guidance for elected officials and local advocates.
