Design Assemble: Lead Product Designer

Lead Product Designer owns end-to-end web and mobile UX for a healthcare AI platform, building design systems and simplifying complex workflows.

Senior Remote Posted 1 day ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: United States

About Assemble

Assemble is the AI platform for healthcare’s leadership; helping automate administrative work, streamline workflows, and improve team collaboration to enhance patient care.

We work closely with nursing and operations leaders to modernize how healthcare teams coordinate work, make decisions, and support each other.

The role

We’re hiring our first full-time Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience of the Assemble web app and future companion mobile app.

You’ll be the design backbone of the team: setting the bar for product quality, building our design system from the ground up, and partnering closely with product and engineering to ship fast in a high-ambiguity environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is excited to go deep on productivity workflows, loves turning messy problems into simple, elegant interfaces, and is motivated by improving the day-to-day of leaders working in healthcare.

What you’ll do

  • Own the product experience across our full web surface and future mobile app – from discovery to shipped product.

  • Design end-to-end flows for complex productivity workflows (task management, collaboration, automation, analytics, etc.).

  • Create and evolve Assemble’s design system to enable us to ship with high velocity and quality.

  • Prototype with modern AI tools like Cursor & Bolt to explore interactions, flows, and lightweight coded prototypes.

  • Partner tightly with product & engineering to define problems, shape specs, and iterate quickly based on real usage.

  • Run lean discovery – user interviews, lightweight usability tests, and rapid experiments to validate ideas.

  • Champion craft & UX quality while still shipping quickly in a startup environment.

  • Lay the foundations for a future design team, including processes, rituals, and documentation that others can build on.

What we’re looking for

  • Deeply mission-driven and excited by the idea of making healthcare work better for the people who run it.

  • Experienced product designer (typically 5–8+ years) with a strong portfolio of impactful work in productivity software.

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex, multi-step workflows into intuitive, delightful experiences.

  • Experience building or contributing to a design system (Figma libraries, tokens, component standards, usage guidelines).

  • Comfortable working from problem definition to polished UI – strategy, IA, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.

  • Hands-on experience using modern AI tooling (e.g. Cursor, Bolt, or similar) to speed up exploration, prototyping, or implementation.

  • Comfortable working quickly in high ambiguity: you’re comfortable with vague problem spaces, shifting priorities, and 0→1 product work. Speed enables quality through tighter iteration cycles.

  • Strong product sense: you think in terms of impact, trade-offs, and user outcomes, not just visual polish.

  • Excellent communicator who can tell the story of your design decisions to both technical and non-technical teammates.

Bonus points

  • Experience designing for healthcare, frontline workforces, or operational tools.

  • Familiarity with mobile design patterns (iOS/Android) and designing with Shadcn components.

  • Experience as an early design hire or working in a seed/Series A startup.

How we work

  • Fast, iterative shipping – we bias toward small, frequent releases and learning from real usage.

  • Low-ego collaboration – good ideas can come from anywhere; we debate, then commit.

  • Ownership – as the first designer, you’ll help define how design shows up at Assemble.

  • Hybrid async/sync communication – thoughtful documentation, plus regular real-time design jams.

In this role, you’ll be measured by your impact on the product and not just the process. Here’s what you’re here to achieve:

  1. Build winning products with product teams- Embed a high design mindset into product strategy from day one — as a co-creator, not a service. Review and direct design work for strategic alignment, consistency, and quality.

  3. Lead with AI- Use AI tools throughout ideation, research synthesis, and rapid prototyping and design

Cross-functional operator- You work effectively with product, engineering, and leadership influencing without authority, building trust through quality of thinking and clarity of communication.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s/Master design degree, Interaction Design, Human Factors, or equivalent practical experience, AI Certification.

15+ years in UX, product design, or a related discipline, with at least 5+ years in a cross-product or strategic design role.

Proven track record of collaborating with product teams to shape strategy, not just design output.

Hands-on experience designing for intelligent recommendations, conversational interfaces, and agentic workflows.

Experience running competitive analysis and translating findings into design strategy.

Proficiency with A/B testing methodologies; ability to design experiments, interpret results, and make design decisions grounded in data.

Fluency with UX analytics tools and behavioural data — understanding user flows, drop-offs, engagement patterns, and how to act on them.

Strong portfolio with case studies demonstrating strategic thinking, process, and measurable outcomes.

Knowledge of accessibility standards (W3C, Section 508).

Tools exposure:

Figma make, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or FullStory, AI Tools.

This is a high-ownership, high-volume role on the Marketing team: you will independently manage a multi-workstream design queue, bring a clear visual POV to every brief, and be the connective tissue between strategy and finished creative.

  • High-volume, multi-workstream ownership — you manage several concurrent projects across different teams and deadlines without losing quality or momentum
  • Independently own a brief end-to-end: intake, concept, stakeholder alignment, production, and delivery

  • Brings a clear POV through visual storytelling — your work has a perspective, not just execution
  • Co-brand fluency — experience managing partner or co-branded materials programs, including versioning, approvals, and brand governance across a partner ecosystem
  • Comfortable managing and directing external vendors: photographers, videographers, illustrators, and web developers

Sales Enablement & Collateral

  • One-pagers, decks, and webinar visuals
  • RFP and proposal design
  • Co-branded partner materials — logos, collateral, and partner-specific versioning

Design Senior Product Designer, AI at Lattice

Senior Product Designer shapes and ships AI-native product experiences across Lattice's platform and integrated tools, working in a new experimental team focused on rethinking how managers and employees work with AI.

Senior Posted 3 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

This is Product Design at Lattice

Lattice is a unified people platform — a full Talent Management suite covering performance reviews, engagement surveys, feedback, check-ins, goals, and career and compensation planning. Since 2016, we’ve grown to support over 5,000 customers globally. We’re now building the next generation of our AI-native product suite.

We’re a passionate group of people who are dedicated to growing together. Currently ~13, our team spans Brand Design, Product Design, and Research. We work closely with our cross-functional partners to ensure holistic thinking and high quality experiences for our customers.

A note on what we’re looking for

Product design is evolving quickly in an AI-native world. As tools and processes continue to change, we are looking for someone who is extremely comfortable with (and even energized by) ambiguity, and is a demonstrated self-starter. You should push our tech stack, not wait to inherit one yet to be defined.

We’re looking for builders. People who can prototype in code, push pixels in design, and write the doc that aligns the room. We believe people who can flex when needed to play multiple roles can lead us on the fastest path to shipping the best products. Success here requires focus and the ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs to ensure we’re always working on what matters most.

We look for collaborative partners who champion design, who spot problems and run with them, and who support and elevate the rest of the team. If you enjoy working in a high-trust, collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our new AI team to help shape and ship a reimagined way of capturing your work and growth, aligned with your manager and the business. Our work spans both net new surfaces inside Lattice and the external tools our customers already work in.

This is a new, experimental team at Lattice making a different bet about AI. We’re figuring out what AI looks like when it’s truly built into how managers, employees, and HR leaders do their best work, and nobody has fully figured this out yet. We’re building this together, so we’re looking for someone who’s eager to rethink traditional roles and flex into whatever the work needs.

This role is perfect for designers who are experimental, energized by ambiguity, and want to help bring our AI vision to life, both inside Lattice and in the tools we integrate with. You think across multiple personas, care deeply about creating a great Lattice user experience guided by AI, and want to help us contribute to a cohesive system for AI experiences across the product. You’ll work side-by-side with Product, Engineering, Data, and customers to land experiences that are loveable, measurable, and scalable, and you’ll partner with engineering to craft and fine-tune the AI outputs themselves so they align with the ideal user experience. Because AI is deeply embedded across Lattice, you’ll build a strong understanding of our entire product suite and collaborate with designers across teams to make sure AI strengthens, not fragments, the jobs our customers are already getting done.

What you’ll bring

Even if you don’t feel your experience covers everything listed below, we still encourage you to apply! The goal of this job posting is to establish the shape of the role, and we’re open to adjusting the leveling if we find someone who’s a great fit for that shape.

A note on your portfolio: We’d love to see case studies from AI work that go beyond screens. Show us how you shaped the AI output itself: quality, tone, formatting, edge cases, and the iteration loops that got you there, alongside the interface design.

AI design skills

  • 3 to 5+ years of product design experience, with meaningful time spent designing and shipping AI-powered experiences (chat, agents, AI-assisted workflows) or adjacent domains where you’ve designed for unpredictable outputs.
  • A 0→1 mindset that lives close to the customer: you’ve brought new experiences to life by forming hypotheses, prototyping, validating, and iterating to a shipped product,  and you’re energized by working with design partners, first-customers and beta programs, ongoing dogfooding, and the heavy validation we do before GA.
  • Curiosity and a love of figuring things out: AI is going to keep evolving, and a lot of today’s best practices will be stale in a few months. You stay curious, experiment with new tools and patterns as they emerge, and treat every novel problem as an opportunity rather than a blocker.
  • Self-starting through ambiguity: autonomous and highly collaborative, comfortable driving your own discovery and synthesis with consultation from our research team, and willing to step into projects that are moving quickly and shifting under your feet.
  • An ability to think across multiple personas (managers, employees, admins, HR leaders) and help create a cohesive system for AI experiences across a broader product suite.
  • Experience designing for non-deterministic systems: you have a point of view on AI output quality and have shipped patterns for trust and graceful failure (hallucinations, confidence, citations, fallbacks, “I don’t know” states, human-in-the-loop), thoughtful output formatting and tone, and streaming/latency so experiences feel fast and legible even mid-response.
  • A POV on AI voice, tone, and persona: you can help define who the assistant is and keep it consistent across surfaces, so AI feels like a coherent character rather than a scattered set of widgets.

Core design skills

  • Experience designing within complex, multi-product workflows: you can design scalable, durable, complex workflows, identify where AI should meaningfully augment a customer’s job (or get out of the way), and slot new affordances in without breaking the broader experience.
  • UX craft: you shape problems before you solve them; identifying the real job to be done, mapping the edge cases that will matter at launch, and building clear mental models (matching them to AI when appropriate). You move fluidly from divergent exploration to a refined, shippable design, and you keep cognitive load low even when the underlying system is complex.
  • Advanced visual and interaction craft: you have a strong command of typography, hierarchy, spacing, grids, and responsive layouts, and you can produce high-quality UI that occasionally diverges from standard patterns when it elevates the product. You design detailed interaction patterns and partner closely with engineering on the quality of execution.
  • Proven success working with an established design system, reusing existing components and patterns, but you also have experience building new components and layouts where AI-native interactions require them.
  • A strong grasp of front-end implementation: you collaborate closely with engineering to ensure high-quality execution of detailed interaction patterns

Communication & collaboration skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for succinctly articulating customer challenges and design decisions.
  • A reliable and proactive partner for Product and Engineering, upstream and downstream: you think at a high level with your PM and engineering partners to shape the future of what your team owns, and you stay close throughout the build, bringing your team along and ensuring every detail ships in a high-quality way.
  • A love for design feedback - both receiving and giving. You are someone who consistently shares your work with other designers and your cross-functional team, and who regularly engages with other designers’ work.

AI tooling skills & flexibility with role evolution

With the evolving landscape of AI tooling, we are looking for a designer who is willing to experiment and flex in new ways, and is eager to be part of our evolving product development process, comfortable with their role evolving over time. You should have:

  • A builder mindset: you’re comfortable prototyping, working in coding tools, and using modern AI tools (i.e. Claude, Cursor, coding agents) to accelerate how you work.
  • An interest in applying AI tooling to your design process to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and depth of thinking.

Very nice-to-haves

  • You have experience shipping AI-native products at significant scale (high-volume production traffic, large user bases, or measurable business impact).
  • You have experience in a hybrid role (Design & Product, or Design & Eng) or an equivalent background (i.e. shipping code or heavily contributing to product definition as a designer)
  • You have worked in B2B SaaS.
  • You have a background or formal education in Graphic or Product Design.
  • You write front-end HTML and CSS or understand it well enough to have meaningful conversations about implementing your design work in production.

The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $136,000.00 - $170,000.00. This position is also eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of Lattice’s applicable plans

Design Sr. Product Designer at Pendo.io

Senior Product Designer owns end-to-end design execution for product areas, leading customer co-design sessions, creating prototypes, and collaborating with product and engineering to ship measurable experiences.

Senior Onsite Posted 7 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

The Team + The Role

Pendo is defining AI transformation for enterprise software. With over 14,000 customers, 900 million users globally, and more than a decade of product usage data, the platform combines analytics, qualitative feedback, and in-app guidance into a unified experience that helps organizations turn insight into action. AI-first innovation is central to how Pendo is building next, with active investments across Agent Mode, Predict, and Agent Analytics. The Product Design team supports the full platform ecosystem and is accountable for creating a cohesive customer experience.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will own design execution end-to-end for assigned product areas. You will partner closely with product and engineering leaders to turn customer insight into clear, well-reasoned design decisions that engineering can build with confidence. This role leads co-design with customers, prototypes before engineering investment, contributes to backlog prioritization, and ships experiences tied to measurable outcomes. AI tools are expected to be part of the daily design and prototyping workflow from day one.

This role is based in our Sheffield office.

What this looks like day-to-day

  • Customer co-design: Lead and facilitate co-design sessions and feedback workshops with stakeholders, customers, and design partners throughout the development lifecycle. Translate what you hear into specific design decisions and document the connection between customer insight and shipped product.
  • Design execution: Own design end-to-end for assigned initiatives, including problem framing, user flows, detailed UI, and engineering handoff. Deliver work that is consistent with Pendo’s design system and ready to build without avoidable correction cycles.
  • Backlog contribution: Contribute to product backlog prioritization for assigned initiatives by bringing a clear design and customer perspective to tradeoff decisions. Flag when an item lacks enough design definition to be built well and help clarify the path forward.
  • Prototyping and validation: Build prototypes ranging from low-fidelity mockups to higher-fidelity interactive flows to validate direction with customers or stakeholders before full engineering investment. Use findings to sharpen scope, identify edge cases, and inform build decisions.
  • AI-assisted workflow: Use AI tools, including Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent tools, as active parts of the design and build workflow. Apply them to prototyping, interface exploration, and reducing the gap between design intent and shipped product, then document and share what is working with the team.
  • Go-to-market support: Partner with Product Marketing and the product lead on feature launch preparation. Contribute design and product context to launch materials and coordinate on launch timing and readiness.

Who You Are

Beyond the qualifications, we hire through a specific lens. These aren’t buzzwords; they’re the things we’ll actually look for in how you talk about your work.

You’re a builder, not a maintainer.

You’re most energized when there isn’t a clear path yet, and you get to define it. You don’t wait for direction; you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward. At Pendo, great Senior Product Designers don’t just follow instructions; they operate as strategic advisors, influencing decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating how we work.

You’re AI-curious - genuinely.

You’re not using AI tools occasionally. You’re rewiring how you work around them. You’re faster, sharper, and more prolific because of it, and you bring that energy to everything — how you approach your work, how you prep, how you communicate, how you think. We want someone who sees AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.

Must-haves

  • 3 or more years of product design experience with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of shipped software features in a B2B or enterprise SaaS context.
  • A portfolio that shows complete design work, including problem framing, user flows, detailed UI, evidence of shipping, and what happened after launch. Work that only shows polished screens without context will not be sufficient.
  • Experience leading co-design sessions and feedback workshops with customers and translating qualitative insight into specific design decisions.
  • Active use of AI tools in daily design work. Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent AI-assisted prototyping or build tools is a working expectation and will be evaluated in practice.
  • Ability to work independently within a defined scope, deliver complete designs, manage your own timeline, and keep engineering unblocked without close supervision.
  • Clear written communication skills, with the ability to document design decisions and tradeoffs so they do not require a presentation to understand.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience prototyping in code or with front-end adjacent tools beyond traditional design software.
  • Experience partnering with go-to-market or Product Marketing teams on feature launches.
  • Familiarity with agile development principles and comfort contributing to backlog prioritization conversations.
  • Familiarity with Pendo as a product or with the product analytics and digital adoption category.

About Pendo

Pendo was founded in 2013 by former product managers, who combined their heads and hearts to build something they wanted but never had as product managers: a simple way to understand and attack what truly drives product success. Our mission is to improve society’s experience with software. EEOC: We are an equal opportunity employer and believe having diverse teams where everyone brings their whole self to Pendo is key to our success. We welcome all people of different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.

All requests for accommodations are treated discreetly and confidentially, as practical and permitted by law.

Design Senior Visual Designer | Bankrate at Red Ventures

Senior Visual Designer creates high-performance marketing creative across paid social, email, display, and direct mail, balancing rapid iteration with brand consistency.

Senior Hybrid Posted 7 days ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices.

For the Bankrate website click here. Curious how Bankrate fits into Red Ventures? Click here.

We’re looking for a Senior Visual Designer to own visual execution across our marketing channels, from paid social and display to email, landing pages, and direct mail. This is a high-output, performance-oriented role for someone who understands that great creative drives results and who can move fast without sacrificing craft. You’ll be embedded in the marketing team, working closely with performance marketing and lifecycle managers to translate strategy into creative that converts. You’ll be in the room where testing strategy happens, contributing to hypotheses, designing for iteration, and using performance data to sharpen your own work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Performance Marketing Creative: Produce assets to support paid social and display channels. Build modular systems that support rapid iteration across hooks, formats, and CTAs.
  • Creative testing: Translate testing hypotheses into distinct creative variants with format-native execution across placements.
  • Volume with craft: Maintain high output without defaulting to templated work. Know when to simplify, and how to do it in ways that still convert.
  • Email design: Design templates and campaign assets that balance brand consistency with performance. Support A/B testing of formats, layouts, and CTAs across trigger-based and broadcast campaigns.
  • Template systems: Build a modular email design system lifecycle can deploy across segments without custom design on every send.
  • Direct mail creative: Own design for direct mail campaigns — envelope creative, inserts, and self-mailers — within print specs, production timelines, and physical format constraints.
  • Brand and asset management: Steward Bankrate’s visual identity across channels, identify drift proactively, and maintain organized design files that make handoffs clean and iteration fast.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Performance design track record: Experience designing for paid digital channels with direct accountability to performance metrics. Portfolio shows meaningful breadth across social, display, email, and landing pages.
  • Multi-channel fluency: You’ve designed across paid social, email, display, and landing pages and understand the format constraints, attention dynamics, and creative conventions of each.
  • Systems thinker: You build design systems, not one-offs. You create modular templates, maintain asset libraries, and design with the next ten variations in mind.
  • Creative under constraints: You do your best work inside tight parameters: a specific CTA, a narrow format, a required disclosure. You find the creative solution within the guardrails, not despite them.
  • Collaborative and fast: You work well with non-designers, can take direction from a performance manager, push back when the brief is wrong, and move quickly without waiting for perfect inputs.
  • Tool proficiency: Expert in Figma. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere). Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email implementation is a plus.
  • AI-forward practitioner: You actively use AI tools and have a point of view on where they create real leverage in visual design, and where they fall short.

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 – $150,000 per year

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.

Who We Are:

Design Senior Visual Designer | Bankrate at Red Ventures

Senior Visual Designer creates high-performance marketing creative across paid social, display, email, landing pages, and direct mail, optimizing for conversion and testing.

What this role involves

*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our New York, NY or Charlotte area offices.
